1. Agreement
By accessing or using OpenAPI Schema Viewer, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What the service does
The service parses OpenAPI and Swagger JSON or YAML in your browser and presents endpoints, reusable schemas, references, structural diagnostics, normalized JSON, generated examples, and cURL skeletons. It is a viewer, not a hosted API platform, code generator, security scanner, or complete conformance validator.
Features, limits, supported browser APIs, and output may change as the product improves.
3. Your sources and permissions
You are responsible for having the right to open, paste, fetch, process, copy, download, or share a specification. Do not use the service to disclose confidential, personal, regulated, licensed, or proprietary content without appropriate authorization.
When loading a URL, you authorize your browser to contact the source host directly. Follow that host's access rules and do not attempt to bypass authentication, CORS, rate limits, or technical controls.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- break applicable law or another person's rights;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the site or its providers;
- introduce malware, deceptive content, or automated abuse;
- misrepresent generated output as certified, authoritative, or guaranteed;
- use share links to publish material you are not allowed to distribute;
- circumvent reasonable file-size, browser, security, or access limits.
5. Generated output and API safety
Examples are heuristically generated from schema keywords and may not be valid business data. Diagnostics intentionally cover a limited structural set and can miss errors. A copied cURL command contains placeholders and can become destructive after you edit or execute it.
Review commands, hosts, methods, parameters, bodies, credentials, and environment before execution. Test against systems you are authorized to use. We do not send API requests for you.
6. Share links
A local share link places compressed source in the URL fragment. Although fragments are not sent to this site's server, possession of the full URL gives access to the embedded source. You are responsible for choosing recipients and handling the link as confidential when appropriate.
7. Intellectual property and names
The site's original interface, branding, copy, and implementation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of your specification or grant rights in third-party content.
“OpenAPI” and “Swagger” identify external specifications and ecosystems. This independent tool is not sponsored by or affiliated with the Linux Foundation, OpenAPI Initiative, SmartBear, or other named vendors.
8. Availability and disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, compatibility, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
Do not rely on this free browser utility as the sole control for production deployment, security review, compliance, data loss prevention, contract testing, or specification validation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, goodwill, business opportunity, or availability arising from use of or inability to use the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow every exclusion, so mandatory rights remain unaffected.
10. Suspension, changes, and general terms
We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, or restrict abusive access. We may revise these terms by posting an updated version and date. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
